1. The Government of India signed a loan agreement with World Bank here for the Neeranchal National Watershed Project. The project to be implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development over a six-year period (2016-21).The Neeranchal project was approved with a total budget outlay of Rs.2142 crore with the Government share of Rs.1071 crore and the rest 50% by the World Bank.
भारत सरकार ने नीरांचल राष्ट्रीय वाटरशेट परियोजना के लिए विश्व बैंक के साथ एक ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। यह परियोजना ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय द्वारा छह साल की अवधि (2016-21) के दौरान लागू की जाएगी। इस परियोजना का कुल बजट परिव्यय 2142 करोड़ रुपए है। जिसमें 1071 करोड़ रुपए सरकार का हिस्सा और शेष 50 प्रतिशत विश्व बैंक का हिस्सा होगा।

2. In a bid to provide operational freedom to banks, the Reserve Bank of India said they are now free to offer all their products and services through the ATM. After this change ATMs will get facilities like application of loans,making of drafts,railway ticketing,water and electricity bill payments.
रिजर्व बैंक ने बैंकिंग क्षेत्र में बड़ा बदलाव करने की दिशा में कदम उठाते हुए एटीएम पर हर प्रकार की बैंकिंग सुविधा देने की इजाजत दी. केंद्रीय बैंक के इस निर्णय से अब एटीएम ही अपने-आप में संपूर्ण बैंक होंगे. इस बदलाव के बाद ऋण के लिए आवेदन करने, ड्राफ्ट बनवाने, ऋण देने, रेलवे के टिकट निकलवाने, बिजली-पानी के बिल जमा कराने की सुविधा एटीएम पर ही मिल जाएगी.

3. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test-fired Nag anti-tank missile at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan.
रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (डीआरडीओ) ने स्वदेश निर्मित तीसरी पीढ़ी के एंटी टैंक मिसाइल नाग सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया. यह परीक्षण राजस्थान के महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज मैं किया गया.

4. Former World No.1 tennis player Marat Safin of Russia has been inducted in the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
विश्व के पूर्व सर्वोच्च वरीयता प्राप्त टेनिस स्टार रूस के मरात साफिन को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हाल ऑफ फेम में शामिल किया गया है

5. The Gujarat Government appointed Jagruti Pandya as the Chairperson for Gujarat State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. She has been appointed for a term of three years.
जागृति पंड्या को गुजरात सरकार ने बाल अधिकार आयोग का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है. उनका कार्यकाल तीन वर्ष का होगा.

6. Minister of health and family welfare J P Nadda launched four mobile health services- Kilkari, Mobile Academy, M-Cessation and TB Missed Call in New Delhi.
स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्‍याण मंत्री जे पी नड्डा ने नई दिल्‍ली में चार मोबाइल स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य सेवाएं शुरू की। ये सेवाएं हैं-किलकारी, मोबाइल अकेडमी, मोबाइल सीसेशन और टीबी मिस्‍ड कॉल।

7. Madhya Pradesh signed four MOUs with Singapore.These would cover urban planning, capacity building skill training and food processing.

8. Indian fashion designer Suket Dhir was named the winner of the 2015-2016 International Woolmark Prize. Delhi resident Suket Dhir has become the second Indian to win the award in past four years.

9. The World Economic Forum, WEF, says climate change and involuntary migration are the two top concerns for global economies in 2016. Almost 750 economic experts have worked on this year’s Global Risks report. It analyses 29 separate global risks for both impact and likelihood over a ten year period.
विश्‍व आर्थिक मंच- डब्‍लयू ई एफ ने कहा है कि इस वर्ष वैश्विक अर्थव्‍यवस्‍थाओं के लिए जलवायु परिवर्तन और स्‍वैच्छिक प्रवासी चिन्‍ता के दो मुख्‍य विषय हैं। लगभग सात सौ पचास आर्थिक विशेषज्ञों की मदद से यह रिपोर्ट तैयार की गई है। इसमें दस साल की अवधि में 29 अलग अलग वैश्विक खतरों के असर का विश्‍लेषण किया गया है।
10. Guatemalan former TV comedian Jimmy Morales sworn in as the country’s new president.

11. Ships and aircraft of the Indian Coast Guard and the Japan Coast Guard came together to train for the 15th edition of ‘Sahyog-Kaijin’ joint exercise in the Bay of Bengal off the Chennai coast.
भारतीय तटरक्षक बलों के पोत व विमान तथा जापानी तटरक्षक के बलों ने ‘सहयोग-काइजिन’ के 15वें संस्करण के संयुक्त अभ्यास बंगाल की खाड़ी में चेन्नई तट पर अभ्यास का आयोजन किया।
12. The installed capacity of solar power in India crossed the milestone of 5,000 MW. The cumulative installed capacity has reached to 5,130 MW with installed capacity of 1385 MW in current FY. The state of Rajasthan stands 1st in the country with 1264 MW, followed by Gujarat (1024MW), Madhya Pradesh (679 MW), Tamil Nadu (419 MW), Maharashtra (379 MW) and Andhra Pradesh (357 MW).

Educational Qualification Bachelor/Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/ Institution

Age-  Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed) as on 1st December, 2015. Maximum age shall not be more than 30 years( candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/12/1985 and not later than 01/12/1994 both days inclusive only are eligible ) Relaxations in upper age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/Other Backward Community(OBC)/ Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) /Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCO) /Persons with Disabilities (PWD)/Confirmed LIC employees shall be as under Govt.  Rules.

Emoluments and Benefits: Basic pay of Rs. 17240/- per month in the scale of Rs. 17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4) –32640 (Under Revision) and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs 40,245/- per month in ‘A’ Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Special Allowance for passing Actuarial Examination, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-
wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules.

Service Conditions:Service Conditions are as applicable in LIC from time to time. The advertised posts are regular and selected candidates, on appointment, are liable to be posted or subsequently transferred anywhere in India.

Probation: One year, extendable up to 2 years.


Guarantee Bond: Before joining as a Probationer, candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including probationary period) failing which, he/she or his /her heirs, executors, administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs.200,000/-only (Rupees Two Lakhs only) The candidate will have to submit Deed of Indemnity at his cost, duly stamped, the stamp value of which will be as applicable to the State in which the deed is executed by the candidate.

On-line examination will be of objective type, multiple choices of 120 minutes (2 hrs) duration comprising of the following:

GUIDELINES FOR PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE SCAN AND UPLOAD
1. IN CASE THE FACE IN THE PHOTOGRAPH OR SIGNATURE IS UNCLEAR, THE     APPLICATION MAY BE REJECTED.
2. CANDIDATE MAY EDIT THE APPLICATION AND RE-UPLOAD THE PHOTOGRAPH/SIGNATURE IN SUCH CASE. 
PHOTOGRAPH IMAGE:
3. Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.
4. The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
5. Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
6. If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
7. If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
8. If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
9. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
10. Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).
11. Size of file should be between 20kb-50kb.
12. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than 50KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.
SIGNATURE IMAGE:
13. The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
14. The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
15. If the Applicant's signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Call Letter, the applicant will be disqualified.
16. Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
17. Size of file should be between 10kb —20kb.
18. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.
SCANNING THE PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE:
19. Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).
20. Set Color to True Color.
21. File Size as specified above.
22. Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).
23. The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01 .jpg or image01 .jpeg Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon. Candidates using MS Windows/MS Office can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50KB & 20KB respectively by using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager. Scanned photograph and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg  format by using 'Save As' option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 50KB (photograph) & 20KB (signature) by using crop and then resize option [Please see point (i) & (ii) above for the pixel size] in the 'Image' menu. Similar options are available in other photo editor also. If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed. While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his photograph and signature.
Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature
24. There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature.
25. Click on the respective link "Upload Photograph / Signature".
26. Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo/ Signature file has been saved.
27. Select the file by clicking on it.
28. Click the 'Upload' button
