BIS Recruitment 2016 – Apply Online for 118 Technical Asst, UDC, Jr Steno & Other Posts: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has released notification for the recruitment of 118 Junior Stenographer, Stenographer, Upper Division Clerk, Senior Technician, Technical Assistant vacancies at BIS Headquarters, New Delhi and/ or BIS offices any where in India. Eligible candidates may apply online from 12-01-2016 at 09:00 Hrs to 01-02-2016 by 23:59 Hrs. Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18-30 years for post 2, 18-27 years for remaining all posts as on the last date for receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD, 15 yeras for PwD (SC/ ST), 13 years for PwD (OBC) candidates as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Graduation with 1 year Diploma/ Certificate in Computers for post 1, Degree from a recognized University with Shorthand in English or Hindi for post 2, Graduation from recognized university for post 3, Matric or equivalent & Certificate from ITI in relevant trade for post 4, Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Microbiology as one of the main subject) with minimum 60% marks for post 5.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on online exam, skill test, practical trade test, interview.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- through on-line system only. No fee for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Women and BIS Departmental candidates.
Note: Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of fee only for the posts of Junior Stenographer, Upper Division Clerk and Senior Technician.

2. Log on through website www.bis.org.in.3. Click on “Career Oppurtunities” —> “Recruitment Advt./ Results”.
4. Select the desired post & Click on “Apply Online”.
5. Fill all the details carefully & Submit the form.
6. Now take printout of online application for future use.
