Age Limit:
Candidates age should be 15 to 20 years for Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Uphoster, 15 to 22 years for Fitter, Electrician, R&AC, Wireman, 15 to 24 years for MLT, Winder, Cable Jointer, Turner, Macxhinist, Mechanic, MMV s on 01-10-2016. Age relaxation is applicable by 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PH candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates shoould possess 10th class under 10+2 system of education or equivalent for Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic, 8th class under 10+2 system of education or equivalent for Carpenter, Painter, Upholster, Welder, 12th class under 10+2 system of education or equivalent for MLT & ITI in relevant trade.
Selection Process: Selection will be based on merit.
Application Fee:
Candidates should pay Rs.100/- by Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage and Wagon Works, Southern Railway, Perambur, Chennai-600023 and payable at Chennai.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates may submit their applications alkong with attested copies of documents regarding date of birth, qualification, Employment Exchange Registration Certificate, Caste certificate in an envelope super scripted as “Application for engagement as act Apprentice-Combined Notification No.1/2016/Act App/CW/PER” in separate box at personnel Branch of office of Chief Workshop Manager, Carriage and Wagon Works, Southern Railway, Ayanavaram, Chennai-600023 by ordinary post on or before 20-06-2016 by 17:00 hrs.

Last Date for Submission of Applications: 20-06-2016 by 17:00 hrs.
Date of Issue of Application Forms at Office of Chief Workshop Manager: 23-05-2016 to 31-05-2016 between 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
