PART-TIME GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS - HEALTHCARE IN USA
A boutique lobbying and government affairs firm is seeking a mid-level government affairs professional for an entrepreneurial position. The work would include 3 days a week at the office of a client providing government affairs monitoring, lobbying and support focusing on policy issues relating to healthcare and academic medicine, and general remote legislative support on cybersecurity issues.
You would be treated like an in-house member of the small client staff of approximately 20 professionals. Collegial and low-pressure atmosphere. Great opportunity to lead the government affairs efforts of a leading association on a part-time basis with remote mentoring and strategic oversight by a senior government affairs professional. There may be other opportunities for additional assignments.
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least four (4) years’ experience on Capitol Hill with heath care policy experience. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of Congressional procedures and the federal policy making process; a background in healthcare policy is required. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Salary negotiable and competitive.
